Cara Light is a chartered accountant working at MNP LLP with over 25 years of expereince helping small business and not for profit organizations succeed. Cara grew up in Sooke, B.C. and spent several years in Calgary, returning to the Cowichan Valley in 2003. A few years after returning to Vancouver Island, her and her husband were introduced to the Ceevacs Roadrunners Club through one of the running clinics and from there, entered the world of running and triathalons. Cara is currently the president of the Ceevacs Roadrunners club society and joined the Chesterfield Sportsplex Society in 2018. Cara beleives that the Cowichan Valley needs great facilities like the Sportsplex to train and promote sports. Past Board positions held include the Nanaimo-Ladysmith Schools Foundation and she is currently a member of the Duncan Daybreak Rotary Club.
