Switching gas tools to electric

Adrian

The Cowichan Sportsplex is fundraising to take action against climate change.

We understand the impact that climate change is having on not only our community but our planet. The Cowichan Sportsplex is raising funds to replace our old, gas-powered equipment with a more environmentally conscious alternative. Tools that will be replaced are mowers, leaf blowers, weed eaters and more.

Why It Matters

As a staple of the Cowichan Valley athletics scene, we have a responsibility to inspire our community to take action against climate change and localize the green movement. Making the switch to electric will not only reduce pollution from gas powered tools, but also reduce noise for our neighbors and significantly reduce the cost of maintaining equipment.

Budget: $5,000
