Quw'utsun Cultural and Conference Centre

$5 million Stu Pitts Legacy from Province of BC

Sportsplex supporters gathered tonight at the Quw'utsun' Cultural and Conference Centre for the largest funding announcement in Sportsplex history. This $5 million legacy contribution honoring Stu Pitts, a long-time supporter of the project, will go in part towards completion of the ball diamonds, paving, lighting, fencing and landscaping. The Province's $5 million commitment will prepare the site for the BC Senior Games in August 2005, the North American Indigenous Games in 2008 and it will leave a legacy in the community from the Winter Olympics being hosted in Whistler in 2010.
