Spring 2008

The Cowichan Sportsplex will be opening the latest addition to the site, a fitness trail that runs behind the ball diamonds.

The trail will include a variety of stationary exercise items that can be used by all ages and fitness levels. This fun new project will include a climbing wall, horizontal ladder, sit-up/push-up bench, and parallel bars.

Artificial Turf

John Ferreira Field grand opening celebration was in September of 2005 and is the home of Cowichan Field Hockey Association. The Ferreira & Cameron families have contributed over $400,000 towards the completion of the turf.

Thank you to our funding partners: Ferreira & Cameron families, Canada BC Infrastructure Program, and the Cowichan Field Hockey Association.
The field is currently being used by field hockey, soccer, field lacrosse and touch football. To book turf time check our bookings page.
