The Cowichan Sportsplex is run by a non profit society called the Chesterfield
Sports Society which was established in March 1996. Members are made up
of local sports teams and volunteers who are dedicated to helping build
and promote the Cowichan Sportsplex. 2006 will mark the 10th anniversary
of the Sportsplex coming to the Cowichan Valley.
The Sportsplex is a multi-sport facility that includes a track, 3 sports fields, artificial turf, lacrosse box, 3 ball diamonds and a nature trail. Plans for a new clubhouse and several children’s playgrounds on the site are currently underway.
As a non profit organization the Sportsplex is run on donations, sponsorship and government grants. We rely on the generosity of local clubs, businesses, and individuals to help us maintain and expand this great facility.
